Jake Chisholm's sound combines rock 'n roll with blues and deep roots. He first burst upon the scene as a sideman backing many Toronto-based roots, blues and country acts. As the leader of The Blue Midnights in the 1990s, he was a popular draw both for his skill on guitar as well as his rich voice. Lately, he has been focussed on songwriting and these five tunes are the first of what will likely prove to be a long line of interesting songs based on old traditions infused with fresh perspectives.
